Ed Chamberlin with his football fans horse-by-horse guide to Saturdays Crabbies Grand National.1. Many Clouds (7/1 with Sky Bet) ⚽️⚽️⚽️ (out of 5) Like me in the Monday Night Football studio this one carries top weight. So classy and athletic over these fences and conditions look perfect. However, he has a better quality field to deal with this year. If you fancy Many Clouds, the time to back him will be first thing Saturday morning as bookies compete to be top price. Hes likely togo off a crazy price.2. Silviniaco Conti (11/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️Like Arsenal, a brilliant flat track bully. Silviniaco is also a class act, superb jumper and a winner of seven Grade Ones. He hates Cheltenhams undulations, but won King Georges with his stamina so he should stay. Rock solid but price makes little appeal.3. First Lieutenant (33/1) ⚽️A wonderful servant for the brilliant Mouse Morris but these days is as pacy as Per Mertesaker.4. Wonderful Charm (40/1) ⚽️Like Crystal Palace, should go really well until halfway and then fall in a heap when stamina and the weight kick in.5. Ballynagour (66/1) ⚽️⚽️Classy sort but not at his best this term and his tendency to hit a fence plus the trip are both big worries.6. OFaolains Boy (33/1) ⚽️⚽️Trainer is back in serious form but a bit like Everton this season OFaolains Boy seems an all or nothing type and this field will be hard to dominate.7. Gilgamboa (66/1) ⚽️⚽️Talented but didnt get three miles at Christmas and gets worryingly low at his fences. Hard to see him relishing this examination.8. On His Own (40/1) ⚽️......like Michael Shinners after a date night in his younger days. Like Shinners and cycling, not sure this is his cup of tea.9. The Druids Nephew (14/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️Slipped on landing last year a la Steven Gerrard when looking like the winner. The canny Denis ORegan in the saddle but has a lot more weight and is he in the same form? Will want the rain to stay away.10. Triolo dAlene (33/1) ⚽️⚽️Has form over these fences but doesnt look well handicapped and best chance has probably gone.11. Rocky Creek (66/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️The modern day Greasepaint as he seems to turn up every year. Like my esteemed editor, David Ord, hes carrying a good deal less weight than this time last year and also like the bearded scribe hes a natural athlete. Rocky Creek jumps these fences really well and I like how he comes here under the radar this time unlike the last couple of years. Again like Ord, he can peak for his big day this year. Classy (Rocky Creek that is) and has each-way chance at a big price. Hes as well handicapped as televisions Oli Bell was at my golf day in 2015.12. Sir Des Champs (40/1) ⚽️Two-time Cheltenham Festival winner, who won on his reappearance but has gone downhill faster than Franz Klammer since.13. Holywell (14/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️The Jamie Vardy of the National field. Terrier like. Ran a great race at Cheltenham just as he did before coming here and slamming Don Cossack a couple of years ago. Not the biggest but neither are the fences these days. AP McCoy likes his chance and trained for the race by a master plus he thrives at this time of the year. If the rain misses Aintree, Holywell is a major player.14. Shutthefrontdoor (18/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️Could easily do a Hedgehunter. Jumped like an old hand last year until running out of gas. One to trade in running as every chance hell travel well but will he get home this time?15. Soll (50/1) ⚽️⚽️Great servant but now nearly as old as Dale Tempest - but without the dart Tempest had in his prolific goalscoring days at Fulham, Huddersfield and in Hong Kong. Likely to get round like Aston Villa. A fair way behind.16. Buywise (50/1) ⚽️⚽️Connections have a superb record in the race but this time Paul Moloney may need a parachute. Buywise will be held up so will need a lot of luck in running too. If youve backed him, watch the first few fences with your hands over your eyes.17. Boston Bob (25/1) ⚽️⚽️Like Richard Fahey, he carries plenty of condition. Classy on his day but is he brave enough for this?18. Aachen (66/1) ⚽️⚽️Never underestimate the trainer but this would be another miracle of Leicester proportions.19. Morning Assembly (25/1) ⚽️⚽️Caught the eye at Cheltenham with the way he travelled. Nicely handicapped and sure to be well tipped up but hard to see him staying well enough to win.20. Double Ross (66/1) ⚽️Will run well for a long way but need roller-skates to get home. Sky Tickets Racing Fast, secure racing tickets: Exclusive racing offers near you 21. Goonyella (20/1) ⚽️⚽️Needs it softer than Newcastles defense to have any chance.22. Ucello Conti (25/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️Two top efforts in two of Irelands most competitive handicap chases this season. In the Thyestes it looked like Jacques Riqou was told to hug the touchline like Gerard Deulofeu at Goodison Park. Just a shame he got the wrong touchline and went wider than Steve Harmisons opening delivery in the 2006/07 Ashes series. Ucello Conti looks well handicapped and in the hands of the maestro that is Gordon Elliott, he must have a massive chance. He was our ante-post selection at 40/1 after the weights were announced and I can see him being a plunge horse on the day.23. Unioniste (28/1) ⚽️⚽️A flashy grey like David Ginola. Put in his place by Many Clouds at Kelso but much better off at the weights here and can go well if the fences dont get in his way.24. Le Reve (40/1) ⚽️⚽️Sandown in heavy ground is more his bag.25. Gallant Oscar (20/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️Will be a nightmare result for the layers with Chelsea fans and parents steaming in to this one. Like the Oscar at Stamford Bridge, hes been very quiet this season. However, thats been for a reason with the canny Tony Martin laying him out for this. If hes got Gallant Oscar back in the form he was in at Cheltenham and Punchestown this time last year, he has a great chance.26. Onenightinvienna (40/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️.....could pay for a week in Barbados. And bring memories of the great West Tip. Onenightinvienna is a very interesting novice with stamina in abundance. Put a line through his Reynoldstown run, where too much use was made of him. If hed won at Ascot hed be a 12/1 chance. Flying under the radar with a big chance.27. The Last Samuri (10/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️Has the engine and stamina to win a Grand National and Id love to see Kim Bailey win the great race again. The worry is the way he dives at his fences like Paul Scholes in to a tackle. Backers should watch the first circuit behind the sofa and re-emerge after the Chair. IF The Last Samuri has warmed up and is in contention on the second circuit he will win.28. Kruzhlinin (25/1) ⚽️⚽️Another with the right engine but clouted numerous fences at Cheltenham and wont get away with that on Saturday.29. Rule The World (40/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️Mouse Morris is a master in the big races and is bang in form. This is Gigginstowns best chance. Yet to win over fences but has some solid handicap form and could go well.30. Just A Par (40/1) ⚽️⚽️Hoping for more than that from Adam Scott at Augusta this week and still cant believe Sky Bet are paying eight places. Just A Par will be nowhere near the first eight places when they jump the Canal Turn for the second time but dont be surprised to see him appear from the clouds at the end.31. Katenko (66/1) ⚽️Looked like becoming a Premier League player a few years back but has struggled since injury.32. Vics Canvas (66/1) ⚽️⚽️Solid contender who will stay but reaching veteran stage and best chance surely behind him.33. Black Thunder (50/1) ⚽️Struggling for form. Not sure hes in love with the great game.34. Ballycasey (80/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️Reminds me of Mario Balotelli. Often hyped up but never seems to deliver. Like Mario, Ballycasey isnt the bravest either.35. Hadrians Approach (50/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️Like Jamie Carragher, Hadrians Approach is getting better looking with age. Unlike Carra, he covers the ground like a gazelle. In fact his giant stride reminds me a bit of one of my all-time favourites, Party Politics. Better known as the Giant Party Politics.Hadrians Approach really caught the eye on his belated reappearance at Kempton and should be fresh and primed for this by Nicky Henderson, who has master minded one or two decent comebacks this season.Hadrians Approachs jumping plagued him early on in his career but he seems to have got his act together now and is only 1lb higher than when he won the 2014 Bet365 Gold Cup. A fascinating runner at a huge price.36. Vieux Lion Rouge (50/1) ⚽️⚽️Promising young stayer and a name to remember but this probably comes a year too soon.37. Pendra (66/1) ⚽️⚽️One attempt at a marathon trip ended in a 10th placed finish in the Irish National. Interesting and talented contender but stamina must be a big doubt.38. Saint Are (16/1) ⚽️⚽️⚽️Saints Are my team but I wont be backing Saint Are. Plenty of people will with his excellent record in this race but highly likely to find one or two too good again in this excellent renewal.39. Home Farm (66/1) ⚽️⚽️Promised plenty a couple of seasons ago. Of all the complete rags Home Farm could give you the best run for your money.40. The Romford Pele (40/1) ⚽️Trainer in great form but Ray Parlour himself would have just as a good a chance.Ed Chamberlins Crabbies Grand National Top Five:1. Hadrians Approach @ 50/1 with Sky Bet2. At the Madrid Masters last week, at match point down to Italys Fabio Fognini, Tomic held his racket back-to-front to play the final point. Bernard Tomic effectively gave up match point against Fabio Fognini by attempting to return the ball with his rackets handle Despite being heavily criticised for this, he told an after match press conference: I dont care about that match point. Would you care if you were 23 and worth over $10 million?Instead of playing in Rio at the Olympics, Tomic will head to Mexico tto contest a low-ranking event on the ATP Tour.ddddddddddddThe Germany-born player said in a statement: With a heavy sense of regret, I have made the difficult decision to not play with the Australian tennis team as they pursue an Olympic medal in Rio.I have always proudly represented my country in Davis Cup and given my all when wearing the green and gold but on the basis of my extremely busy playing schedule and my own personal circumstances, I am regrettably unable to commit to this years tournament.I make this decision based on what is best for my tennis career.
